Conservation Law Center is excited to announce a first time award from the Ropchan Foundation to fund the Indiana Land Protection Program. The Indiana Land Protection Program supports CLC’s work advising land trusts across the state on complex land transactions, making their conservation efforts legally stronger and thus more permanent.  CLC also advises land trusts regarding potential liability related to both public access, advises on trespass and timber theft, helps navigate boundary disputes and title discrepancies, and helps craft strategies for addressing climate change. CLC’s work has assisted in the permanent protection of tens of thousands of acres in Indiana alone, habitat to some of our most sensitive species such as migratory songbirds, rare orchids, and freshwater mussels.

Funding from Ropchan Foundation will help facilitate our continued work with land trusts and organizations like ACRES and Sycamore Land Trust among others throughout the coming year.
